Why I Don’t Believe in Nephilim

Update, October 13, 2011, Here is a video that expresses what I believe on this subject, I hope it makes better sense than I have been able to make.

This is a discussion I’ve been having with a blog friend, go here for the entire exchange; http://bibletreasuresandpearls.blogspot.com/2011/09/bible-timeline.html

This was too long to post in her comments:

Hi S., You have a wonderful focused mind, you are an awesome debater, I know you must give your professors a great challenge! I’ll give you all the points you’ve made, I agree with them all. But they don’t change my assessment of the sources of these particular named teachers’ and writers’ materials to which I’ve been referring. Yes, as you’ve said we must and I have used men’s writings and analysis in coming to distrust these particular works by these particular people. I don’t have scholarly expertise, just KJV Bible and English language and the place I’m on in the road to working out my salvation in the fear of the Lord.

My questions;
1.What about the uncanonized manuscripts?
2.Mormon book of Jasher? 3.book of Enoch?
4.Other uncanocial writings of recent discoveries?
such as;

a.
http://dlxs2.library.cornell.edu/cgi/t/text/text-idx?c=cdl;idno=cdl205
the Chaldean Account of Genesis “Babylonian fables, and legends of the gods; from the cuneiform inscriptions”

b.
The Greek, Aramaic, and main Ge’ez manuscripts of 1 Enoch and Jubilees obtained in the 19th century and held in the British Museum and Vatican Library,

c.
The Dead Sea Scrolls (discovered 1946) aren’t authenticated either with their being believed to have come from the ancient Jewish sect called the Essenes, Zadokites, or other unknown Jewish groups.

Jesus Christ told his disciples while yet in his earthly ministry that the spirit of antichrist was already at work in the world, so the ancient age of manuscripts does not make them true testimonies of the Word of God. Jesus said that the Word of God would not pass away. He never said that a part of it would be hidden until the end times. That is the only thing we have had since He went to the Father in heaven. He founded the earth upon it and with it. He gave it all, many of the sealed things in Daniel were revealed and fulfilled in Jesus life, death, and resurrection.

The sealed book of life is for the judgment which each person will go through. His second coming will be witnessed by everyone. More about the future I do not understand. I have consulted men’s writings who have studied the languages and the history, but they did not change or add to the gospel.

From website;  http://www.essenespirit.com/who.html

“The Essenes considered themselves to be a separate people–not because of external signs like skin color, hair color, etc., but because of the illumination of their inner life and their knowledge of the hidden mysteries of nature unknown to other men. They considered themselves to be also a group of people at the center of all peoples–because everyone could become part of it, as soon as they had successfully passed the selective tests.

(sounds very secret society to me)

They thought, and rightly so, that they were the heirs of God’s sons and daughters of old, the heirs to their great ancient civilization. They possessed their advanced knowledge and worked assiduously in secret for the triumph of the light over the darkness of the human mind.

 They felt that they had been entrusted with a mission, which would turn out to be the founding of Christianity and of western civilization. They were supported in this effort by highly evolved beings who directed the brotherhood .

(angels or aliens/ufos directing secret societies)

They were true saints, Masters of wisdom, hierophants of the ancient arts of mastery.

They were not limited to a single religion,

(polytheism)

but studied all of them in order to extract the great scientific principles. They considered each religion to be a different stage of a single revelation. They accorded great importance to the teachings of the ancient Chaldeans (worshipers of Baal), of Zoroaster, of Hermes Trismegiste, to the secret instructions of Moses and of one of the founding Masters of their order who had transmitted techniques similar to those of Buddhism, as well as to the revelation of Enoch.
They possessed a living science of all of these revelations.
Thus, they knew how to communicate with angelic beings and had solved the question of the origin of evil on the earth.”

(New Age Different Gospel)

Also as for fallen angels being changed, I don’t see any accepted source saying they received additional powers from God their Creator to procreate. They would have been elevated for disobeying God as man was made in the image of God, but angels were not.

Quayle, Horn, Riggs, Dizdar, & etc. are using these sources (and the ones I gave in previous posted comments) that add to and change the gospel. It is not lightly that I’ve dismissed them and their teachings about nephilim.

I praise the Lord for such a wonderful iron sharpening sister in the Only Begotten Son of God, the only Propitiation for us, the Way, the Truth, and the Door to eternal life, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.:)
